Dubai Civil Defense presents its cutting-edge advancements in defense and rescue during the International Search and Rescue Conference

The Dubai General Directorate of Civil Defense, through its Marine Fire Department, wrapped up its engagement in the third edition of the International Search and Rescue Conference and Exhibition held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) from February 12th to 15th. This event serves as a prominent global stage to demonstrate cutting-edge innovations and practices in search and rescue operations. It attracts a distinguished array of speakers, specialists, and exhibitors from local, regional, and international spheres.

The General Directorate of Civil Defense in Dubai showcased its innovative firefighting and maritime rescue services at the exhibition. The exhibition drew a large number of visitors, led by Major General Pilot Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, who took an inaugural tour. During the exhibition, Lieutenant Colonel Khalfan Mohammed bin Dasmal, Director of the Fire and Marine Rescue Department, provided a detailed explanation of the advanced mechanisms, projects, and firefighting equipment used in marine accidents, such as “The Shark” boat and the flying firefighter project known as “The Dolphin”.

His Excellency Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, paid a visit to the platform and received a detailed briefing on the showcased innovations and systems utilized by the Fire and Marine Rescue Department. These advancements play a crucial role in ensuring security and safety along the coasts and within territorial waters.

His Excellency Obaid Rashid Al Hosan Al Shamsi, Vice President of the National Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Authority, also examined the swift solutions and remote control capabilities offered by civil defense mechanisms.

Throughout his tour, Major General Hamdan Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Deputy Commander of the National Guard, was briefed on the latest automated projects integrated into civil defense equipment in Dubai. These projects offer optimal solutions for managing accidents amid weather fluctuations and sea turbulence.

Throughout the exhibition, the platform of the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Dubai attracted significant attention from official delegations and embassies worldwide. These delegations engaged in an exchange of experiences with the Marine Fire Department team.
