Excellency General Jassim Mohammed AlMarzouqi,UAE Civil Defence Commander in chief  received 70 trees of  GHAF  from 1st Lt. Abdullah Bin Touq, Head of Trainees Section at Training and Performance Development Department, Dubai Civil Defence,  as a part of the Year of Tolerance initiatives 2019, to be planted in the UAE Civil Defence regional departments across the seven emirstes.

GHAF tree is an original UAE tree that grows in desert area, and considered as a symbol of resilience and coexistence in the desert. It has substantial cultural value in UAE, being a part of the heritage and the national identity of UAE, was chosen by H.H.Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid ALMaktoum Vice-president, Prime minister and Ruler of Dubai as official logo of the Year of Tolerance, to be used in all initiatives launched by Public and Private sectors in 201
