Gen. Al Matrooshi Announces DCD’s Projects Must Pairs Government Trends for Upcoming 50 Years

Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Rashid Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defense has chaired a meeting set to review the performance results of departments of Resources and Support Services sector. Smart Services sector and Fire and safety protection sector for 2019, respectively, in the presence of Brig. Rashid Khalifah BuLaflasa, assist. Director General for Smart Services and Lady Afaf Jassim AL Muhieri, Director of Strategy and Future Department.

During the convened meeting, directors of Services and Supplies, Emirates Academy for Civil Defense, Financial Affairs, Human Resources, Preventive Safety, Civil Protection, Communications Systems, Information Technology, as well as Smart Systems have demonstrated detailed performance results for 2019, major initiatives and projects achieved during 2019, challenges been rectified through implementation of developmental plans, and nature of innovative initiatives for remedying them. 

Directors also reviewed projects linked to strategic goals proposed for 2020, which coincides with inauguration of EXPO 2020.

Al Matrooshi emphasized the following:

DCD’s vision, work methodologies and projects should be a part of overall trends of the Government of preparations for the coming 50 years, and reshaping the future using pioneer initiatives and projects, entrenching integration principles with our partners in both public and private sectors, developing institutional performance, delivering best services and achieving best possible results. 

Meeting was attended by Col. Jamal Ahmed Ibrahim, Director of Supplies and Services, Col. Juma Mubarak, Director of Emirates Academy for Civil Defense, Col. Abdullrahman BalShalat, Director of Communications Department, Maj. Dr. Abdullrahman AlBloushi, Director of Financial Department, Maj. Khalid ALtaniji, Director of Preventive Safety Department, Director of Human Resources Department and Mr. Eisa BalShalat Director of I.T. Department.
