In the presence and participation of H.E. Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Ulama, Under Secretary of Ministry of Health and Community Protection, and Excellency Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defense, Public Health Section at Civil Protection Department, has organized “Fazaatk Bidamik” a blood donation campaign, branded “  a drop of blood Gives life”, with the aim to spread awareness and health education on the importance of blood donation, at Al Qusais fire station.

The drive was organized in association with Blood Transfusion Services and Researches Center, affiliated to the Ministry of Health and Community Protection.

Campaign activities include awareness lectures on the importance of blood donation and its role in avoiding various types of diseases.

Other participants include Brig. Rashid Khalifa ALFalasi, assist. Director-General for Smart Services, Departments’ Director, Civil Defense officers, fire and rescue men and other GHQ civil employees. 

Al Matrooshi praised the campaign, saying it is a humanitarian work that symbolizes one of the main community supporting features of this prominent health organization. 

He added it enhances DCD’S role and interaction with all community entities. 

Captain Hamadan Hamad Al Suwaidi, Director of Civil Protection Department and Lady Zina Hashim Al Hadid, Head of Public Health Section attended the event.
