Excellency Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defense, has chaired the fire and rescue sector “Competency” initiative meeting, which aims at implementing best practices in the area of specialty, raising response and readiness level during crisis and emergency situations.

Daily training projects working plan, based on DCD’s GHQ strategy and vision, was demonstrated, said the plan is linked to training plans and actual needs of fire and rescue units.

Discussed plan includes updated incidents types and ways to respond to them, training on specialized and technical programs carried out under Emirates Academy for Civil Defense direct supervision, as per latest methods applied, in order to raise readiness indicators at different fire stations across Dubai, to ensure best response time and human force training sustainability are achieved.

The meeting was held in the presence of Brig. Rashid Khalifah, assist. Director-General for Smart Services, Brig. Expert Ali Hassan Al Mutawa, assist. Director-General for fire and rescue, Col. Expert Yusuf Rashid, Director of Fire Stations Department,  Lady Afaf Jassim Al Muheiri, Director of Strategy and Future department and Director of Human Resources Department.
