Excellency Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Rashid Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defense has presided the EXPO 2020 Committee meeting, where he reviewed fire station's readiness sustainability in the project, as part of efforts exerted to ensure best-specialized services are delivered in accordance with highest international standards.

Global event onsite accomplished projects also reviewed during the convened meeting.

Meeting discussed also operations rooms fit out plan, connecting mechanism seeking to enhance fire safety and protection procedures, as per best-sophisticated technologies, artificial intelligence applications and smart systems employed by Dubai Civil Defense to assure the success of events and associated activities.

Al Matrooshi also addressed fire and rescue squad’s preparations and readiness, improving their professional skills and capabilities to keep pace with the international prominent event, to be hosted in Dubai soon. 

Meeting also discussed the support plan from other Civil Defense regional departments across UAE, as support and backup units, which help to foster the safety axis at EXPO 2020.

The meeting was attended by Brig. Jamal Bin Aaded, assist. Director-General of Resources and Supportive services, Brig. Rashid Khalifa Al Buflasa, assist. Director-General for Smart Services, Brig. Expert Ali Hassan Al Mutawa, assist. Director-General for fire and rescue affairs and members of the committee.
