DCD and the Arab Security and Safety Systems organize a fire alarm and voice evacuation system workshop

The DCD-Civil Protection Department Awareness Section organized a training workshop for firefighters and rescuers' entitled 'Fire Alarm System and Voice Evacuation', which is concerned with monitoring changes in the environmental condition indicating the presence of fire or smoke, in the presence of First Lieutenant Hamdan Muhammad bin Musleh, Deputy Director of Al-Mizhar Center, and First Lieutenant Matar Mohammed bin Ghdaier, Head of Training Department at the Centers Affairs Department. This workshop was organized by the Arab Company for Security and Safety, the specialized company in Security and safety systems in buildings and facilities.

The course comes within the strategic objectives and plans of the General Administration, to provide the information and detailed data for firefighters and rescue men, by modern practical applications of fire protection systems, aiming to enhance safety measures and general prevention in homes and facilities.

The workshop comprehended a full introduction to the “EST3” control panel, the alarm and voice evacuation feature, the system specialized in fire alarm network with electronic schematic mapping, concerned in giving info about the integrated alarm system interface, the front panel operation, the system handling in case of accidents and the speed of response.

1st Lt. Matar bin Ghdaier affirmed that the workshop included an important knowledge for firefighters and rescue men, in the rapid technical development of systems and technology, and in light of the great diversity of control panels in buildings and facilities, which differ from one building to another.

He pointed out that the Fire and Rescue Sector in DCD works strongly to sustain training and qualify its employees to work on all protection systems and control panels used in facilities and buildings, as it is the most advanced step in early detection of fire, and improving readiness opportunities to ensure an effective response to fire situations in a manner that suits The highest global standards.
