His Excel. Lt. Gen. Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director - General of the DCD, received His Excellency Simon Penny, Consul General of the United Kingdom in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and reviewed with him the main and supportive operations of the General Directorate in all its sectors, implementing the international standards adopted by Civil Defense for safety infrastructure in all Buildings and facilities in Dubai.
His Excellency accompanied the British Consul on a field tour that included the central operations room, to be briefed on the latest control techniques, and the management of incoming communications.
His Excel. Lt. Gen. Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi valued the visit of the British Consul in Dubai, praising the distinguished relations between UAE and the United Kingdom in various fields, and the role of diplomatic missions in promoting joint cooperation, assuring the fruitful relationship that links civil DCD and firefighting authorities in Britain to strengthen the experience in a specialized field, exchanging visits and practical experiences that contributed to the development of firefighting methodologies.
At the end of the visit, His Excel. Lt. General Rashid Al Matrooshi, the British Consul, presented the commemorative trophy of the DCD, who in turn extended his thanks and appreciation to DCD for its professional efforts, developing its services, and its role in preserving the safety of lives and properties.
