The General Directorate of Civil Defense participated in the (With My Determination I Innovate) exhibition, held in conjunction with the month of innovation for the year 2023 and organized by the Ministry of Community Development to showcase the innovations of people of determination and the most significant innovations pertaining to this distinguished category.

In the presence of His Excellency Brigadier General Ali Hassan Al Mutawa, Assistant Director General for Fire and Rescue, and His Excellency Colonel / Matran  Khalil Al Muzain, Assistant Director General of Smart Services in the Civil Defense.

The participation of the Dubai Civil Defense Innovation Council team is to demonstrate the development of a smart application for People of Determination, which benefits central operations in areas where People of Determination are located as soon as a fire is reported. Therefore, they can facilitate access to people of determination in towers or residential buildings in the Emirate of Dubai and prioritize their rescue.

In this context, Ms. Afaf Al Muhairi, Director of the Strategy and Future Department, praised the country's interest in the category of people of determination and their effort made for them to participate in such exhibitions to enhance their role in society and give them the opportunity to showcase their creativity and innovations in a realistic and tangible manner.

She added, "We are keen to enrich and support creative and innovative ideas by communicating with all parts of society in different groups, particularly as we are witnessing vast youth energies that keep up with the aspirations and directions of our wise government in terms of innovation in the light of digital acceleration, artificial intelligence, and simulating the future in effective ways that contribute to strengthening the role of protection and raise the awareness and reduce material and human losses.
