During Ramadan 2023, the Dubai Civil Defense General Directorate team was crowned the Ramadan Dubai Cup for government departments.This happened on Saturday evening at the football night that ended the five football tournaments that the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities had set up. Twelve teams from different Dubai government departments took part in the event, which was held at the AHDAAF sports club in Al Qouz.  

After beating Dubai government, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and the Department of Finance, Dubai civil defense took lead on the third group, and in the final quarter, DCD's team defeated both Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation and Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services to qualify to the final.

After a long, exciting, and challenging meeting between the Dubai Civil Defense team and the Dubai Police General Command, which ended in a 1-1 tie, the Dubai Civil Defense team won with a penalty shootout. 

Director of the Emirates Civil Defense Academy in Dubai, His Excellency Colonel Expert Juma Mohammed Al-Sabata, praised how well organized the tournament was and how hard the players worked to win the title.
