In coincidence with Gulf Traffic Week, Department of Civil Protection at Dubai Civil Defence, conducts in association with Vehicle Licensing Department of RTA, Cars Fire Safety Drive, which comes as a part of its transportation annual awareness safety plan. Safety annual plan aims to spread awareness across workers at different sectors of marine and road transportation. This campaign also focuses on training the employees of driver’s training institutes. Conducted drive includes lectures and practical training on how to use fire extinguishers, fire blanket, evacuations procedures and introduction of causes of cars fires. Awareness contests are carried out by awareness teams and Firefighter Salem and his family dolls are displayed as well, to entrench preventive knowledge among the workers.
