In line with strategic preventive awareness plan executed by Dubai Civil Defence throughout the year, across community sectors in all buildings and establishments, and as a part of its awareness program designed for media centers, stations and institutions, Civil Protection’s awareness teams at Dubai Civil Defence is conducting a week long awareness training program to train media city working staff on how to use manual fire extinguishers, introduction to public hazards, methods and application of evacuation in buildings and admins. offices during times of emergency, implementing number of individual skills of rescuing casualties at accident scene a long with occupational safety requirements and their applications.

Launched annual awareness and training plan has covered almost half million persons in 2015, while the target set for 2016 is six hundreds persons. Awareness and training plan targets workers or whoever is available in educational, residential, industrial, commercial, health, tourist, government, transportation sectors. Workers at disable and elderly centers and in other social institutions or activists are among the targeted categories as well. Awareness plan also introduces prerequisite safety measures against crisis repercussions, how to be handled if occurred, and ways of limitation.
