As part of efforts to strengthen mutual cooperation, exchange expertise, and explore the latest systems, advanced practices, and public safety technologies, His Excellency Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Commander-in-Chief of the General Command of Dubai Civil Defense, welcomed a delegation from the Western Cape Provincial Government of South Africa, led by Premier Alan Winde.
The visit included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at leveraging the global leadership achieved by Dubai Civil Defense and enhancing areas of joint collaboration.
During the tour, the delegation was introduced to the Billion Readiness Program, which aspires to raise fire prevention awareness among one billion people worldwide. They also viewed the main operations room at the General Command headquarters, where AI-assisted systems are in place, as well as the Dubai Civil Defense Readiness Room and the “Marhaba” Customer Service Center. The delegation received an in-depth briefing on advanced communication systems and tools used to measure customer satisfaction, in addition to being introduced to the latest firefighting vehicles, equipment, and innovations.
