On behalf of the Maj.Gen.Expert Rashid Thani ALMatrooshi, Director of Dubai Civil Defence, Lt.Col. Expert Hussain Mohammed ALRahumi, member of technical specification advisory committee at Dubai Civil Defence has handed over one copy of both ( Fire Station Standard Operating Criteria Guide) and ( Emirates Guide For Civil Defence’s Vehicles & Equipments Technical Specification) to His Excellency Saeed Mohammed ALtayer, Dubai Water and Electricity Authority Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, during his visit to DEWA main office, in the presence of Mr. Waleed Suleiman, Deputy Executive Chief of Strategy and Business Development Sector and Mrs. Khawala ALMihairi, Deputy Chief of Marketing & Corporate Communications Sector.
Lt.Col.ALRahumai conveyed, during the meeting, the compliments of Maj.Gen. Expert ALMatrosshi to His Excellency Saeed Mohammed ALtayer, then delivered a brief introduction about the two Guides prepared by national specialized teams of from Dubai Civil Defence.
From his side, Mr. ALtayer expressed his thanks to Maj.Gen. ALMatrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defence, for their exerted efforts and the positive cooperation established with DEWA. Also praised the achievement of the two Guides in accordance to international scientific standards and in a such way that proper decisions can easily be made by planners and executives.
““In line with its full commitment to improve Government working system, and to enhance happiness of community DEWA cooperates with other international, regional and local entities, private and public departments, and in harmony with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid ALMaktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai to embed excellence and innovation method in Governmental departments, besides its own strategy aiming at establishing institutional excellence as per international standards. DEWA and DCD work together in a number of projects and initiatives to raise awareness levels among citizens and residents to implement higher levels of health, safety and security measures.” Said ALtayer.
In the same respect , Maj.Gen.Expert ALMatrooshi confirmed that integrated ties between the services delivered by DCD and DEWA constitutes fundamental pillar for safety strategy in Dubai. Since DEWA provides the buildings with required infrastructure of safe energy , and DCD provides fire and safety required infrastructure, so they are together partners to ensure safety for all.
He added:“ Both Fire Station Standard Operating Criteria Guide and Emirates Guide For Civil Defence’s Vehicles & Equipments Technical Specification ,prepared by our staff addressed the potential needs of our department in one hand for vehicles and equipments, and in the other hand the importance of integration between equipments and well trained and qualified human force, administrate system, creative functional and monitoring missions and inductive working environment.”
