DCD, Ministry of Health Mark World NO Tobacco Day

In participation of H.E Maj. gen. expert Rashid Almatrooshi, director general of Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Civil Defense organized in collaboration with Ministry of Health and Community Prevention,  different events to cast light on the relation between Tobacco usage and the way to fight the negative habit, which concurrent with the celebration of World Health Organization to Mark World NO Tobacco Day, in the presence of Col. expert Ali Hassan Almutawaa, assistant director for fire and rescue affairs.

DCD'S employees have participated in the event, by under gone the tests carried out and listening to medical advices delivered by the specialists, in the Clinic held on the sideline of the celebration ceremony.

The international Tobacco free Day focuses on spreading a unified awareness message aiming to encourage people to quitting smoking, indicating the negative effects of the bad habit, as it leads to lung cancer and other respiratory diseases. For his part, Gen. ALMatrooshi request the employees to transfer the event positive sides to educate their loved ones and surrounding people about the Smoking hazards, urging different community sectors to quit smoking. We are dedicated to spreading health awareness along with our strategic partners, he concluded.
