Dubai Civil Defense has executed, in collaboration with its strategic partners including Dubai Police, Dubai Ambulance service Authority and EXPO 2020, a mock drill for fire Incident, which comes in line with DCD'S strategic plan to ensure preparation and readiness to deal with fire incidents, enhancing successful partnership with the strategic partners, achieving best response rates.

Scenario began when central operations room received fire incident report at 9:00 am,stating a fire wad broken at one of the restaurants located in trade center of EXPO, Jebal Ali district, at 8:30am,immediately fire response teams of EXPO fire point rushed to incident scene, headed by early intervention vehicle,mobile operations units to start responding and brief incident Commander with initial assessment, allocating responding teams as per set Scenario to handle such incidents, back up and support was requested from Dubai South,  resulting in controlling the incident in a record time.

Lt.Col.Expert Hussein Alrahoumi, director of fire stations department, stated: operations room received a report of fire eruption at a restaurant in one of EXPO trade complex,  according to the scenario, response teams rushed to the scene to begin evacuation of two victims from inside the restaurant to the ambulance vehicle to ensure their safety,  then starting suppression operations, incident was controlled in a record time by different units as per highest professional safety standards
