Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Almatrooshi, director general of Dubai Civil Defense , has received at his office Mr. Geoffrey Bos, Operations Commanding Officer at Safety Region Ysselland , Netherlands, who came to look into how Civil Defense carries out its operations for combating fires, review its best practices and standard operating procedures applied in main and supportive operations, and the associated strategic plans of safety precautions set to protect lives and properties, and finally its future plans to implement accelerators and artificial intelligence within its specialty for reshaping the future. 

The visit includes also, visiting fire stations and marine bases, to learn about certain risks areas around Dubai, and study plans set by Dubai Civil Defense and effective ways to handle them, based on its full readiness axes to respond to emergency situations.

He also visited operations control center at HQ, established and equipped as per international best practices, where he discussed issues of common interest with risk assessment and fire stations affairs officers.

Other attendees include Col. Expert Ali Hassan Almutawaa, assistant director general for fire and rescue affairs and Terry Johnson, fire and rescue advisor at GQ.
