Dubai Civil Defense Pink Convoy for breast cancer conquering awareness campaign reached its last destination, which was Dubai Media Incorporated. Launched campaign themed “We Fight Fire- we Fight Cancer” was organized as a part of Dubai Civil Defense efforts set to interact with the disease, and enhancing awareness among women about the importance of disease early detection, encouraging them to adopt healthy life style, in synchronizing with global campaign of pink breast cancer awareness runs throughout October month of every year. 

The campaign which commenced by Dubai Civil Defense  early of this month includes various events and activities targeting women element, to spread the knowledge about breast cancer, symptoms, way of treatment and prevention. 

Kicking off began with  the ceremony  held in the GQ, under the patronage of Gen. Almatrooshi, director general, and in cooperation with Ministry of Health and Community prevention “ Dubai Education Section”, offering medical checkup and consultations, awareness  lectures, followed by a number of visits targeting different destinations comprising public and private entities.

The pink convoy has achieved the set goals, such as instilling breast cancer awareness movement across the entire UAE society, via intensified and ongoing activities throughout the month of October, and also managed to reach out ladies from different nationalities residing in the emirate of Dubai, creating community partnership and interactive friends who are able to contribute positively in impart of knowledge within their family environment and across the whole society.
