Based on the vision of H. H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid AL Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai “May Allah Preserved Him”, that sport teaches us number of values including determination, team work, respecting rules and justice with rivals, Dubai Civil Defense has launched, in the presence and participation of H.E Maj .Gen. Expert Rashid ALmatrooshi, Director General first fitness challenge championship 2019, which lasts for 4 days.

The number of competitors participating in the championship is 155, representing 22 fire stations and department of training and performance development. Championship organizing committee has set time factor as approved standard to identify winning team in competitive stages. 

Fire stations took part in the first day of competitions include AL Qouz, Rashydia, Emirates Martyr’s Center, ALmizhar, Ras and DIP. Teams went through tough competitions in capabilities, endurance and skills display by each team’s players. Teams already participated await the results of evening competitions to identify teams which are qualified for the championship’s second stage.

Second day of the competitions involve 59 officers who will compete for qualifying for the second stage, and then for the final.Brig. Jamal Bin Aaded, assistant director general for resources and support services, Brig. Rashid Khalifah assistant director general for smart services and Col. Expert Ali Hassan ALMutawaa, assistant director general for fire and rescue have participated in the fitness championship.
