It gives me immense pleasure to congratulate our wise leadership on the occasion of this historic scientific achievement  which    open the door of future widely  to  our nation and Government  to enter a new frontier in its  space journey, an achievement that expresses indeed the limitless  aspiration of UAE nation. 

And in this particular celebrating moment, we got to proudly recall the futuristic vision and ambition of the Father of the Nation the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan ALNahyan, expressed 40 years ago to invade the space, a dream we all should seek to achieve as a part of expressing the spirit of challenge UAE faces in its long global competitiveness march, which placed it in the forefront of most advanced countries. 

Innovative efforts and creative energies were combined and accelerated to achieve the requirements of “Zayed Ambition” journey, showcased by Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center in cooperation with Federal Corporation for Youth , as a  motto for the first of its kind UAE and Arab space mission to the international space station in 25 of September 2019, as part of UAE astronauts program, launched by H. H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid AL Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai,  “May Allah Preserves Him”, and H. H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed AL Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and  Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, aiming at training and preparing a team of UAE astronauts and send to outer space to carry out different scientific missions. 

First Emirati astronaut Hazzaa AlMansoory, whose shoulder is decorated with the logo “Zayed Ambition” during his historic mission, is a source of our proudness and strong incentive for us to achieve more scientific innovations and creations, that suit our Nation international image and place it occupies amongst great nations. It also realizes our wise leadership vision to make UAE becomes one of the most prosperous and scientifically advanced countries worldwide in Space exploration to shape the Human civilization.

Director General of Dubai Civil Defense his Excellency Maj. Gen.Expert Rashid Thani Almatrooshi, has attended the honoring ceremony of Lt. Khalifah ALkatabi, 1st Corporal Shuaib  Hussain Ahali from Nadshiba fire and rescue center, by Brig. Saeed Hamad Bin Suleiman , director of Rashydia  Police Station, in recognition of sincere efforts and cooperation with Dubai Police GHQ.

Honoring ceremony was attended also by Brig. Jamal Bin Aadid AlMheiri, assistant director general of resources and support services, Col. Expert Ali Hassan Almutawaa, assistant director general of fire and rescue affairs, Col. Suleiman Abdullkarim, director of Technical affairs department, Lt. Col. Expert  Ibrahim Saif ,director of Rashydiah fire station, and Lt. Col. (Pilot) director of Barshah fire station.

DCD Squads Putout A Blaze in Warehouse at Qusais

Dubai Civil Defense fire squads managed efficiently to control advanced fire that erupted in two warehouses in AL Qusais industrial area No 5, No casualty has been reported, despite the huge loss.

Operations room has received an alert about fire inside a warehouse that stored tires at 14:13pm, immediately fire teams from Qusais fire station being falls in its area of jurisdiction rushed to incident scene, then followed by support fire teams from hammriyah, Karama, Bursha, Nadd Alshiba, Mizher fire stations, where they abled to evacuate employees before launching fighting operations, incident commander announced at 18:35 pm that incident was completely controlled.

Fire teams led by Lt. Col. Mattran Khalil, as incident commander, proved their high efficiency and competency while dealing with the fire. Upon the arrival of Col. Expert Ali Hassan Almutawaa at incident scene took over commandership of the fire scene.

Col. Almutawa, assistant director of for fire and rescue affairs praised the efforts exerted by squads that rushed to the scene and managed to battle the fire in most professional way, without any victims reported, he attributed to intensive training sessions and accumulated experiences they gone through.

Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Almatrooshi, director General of Dubai Civil Defense has presided the routine meeting of the directors of the regional civil Defense departments across UAE, in the presence of Brig. Abdulaziz Ali ALshamsi, director general of Ajman Civil Defense, Brig. Mohammed Abdullah Alzaabi, director general of Ras Al-Khaimah Civil Defense, Brig. Ali Obaid ALTaniji, director general of Fujairah Civil Defense, Col. Dr. Salem Hamad Bin Hamadh. Director general of Umm AL Quwain Civil Defense ,Col. Mohammed Haboosh director  Civil Protection department at Abu Dhabi Civil Defense.

Directors have listened during the meeting to the presentation which was delivered by Lady Afaf Jassim Almuheiri, director of Strategy and future department at Dubai Civil Defense, on joint government services, including unified inspection carried out in cooperation with Municipalities across UAE, which comes in line with the efforts aiming at making a quantum leap in the level of services delivered to customers.
