Maj. Gen. ALMatrooshi Recives Thesis of Master Degree
Maj. gen. expert Rashid Thani Almatrooshi,director general of Dubai Civil Defense has received from Lt. Col Saeed Sultan Obaid Alrahoumi , director of Jebal Ali fire station, a copy of his Master Degree Thesis, themed " Executive Master of Public Administration- UEA Civil Defense Readiness to Convert to Artificial intelligence " conferred on him from Mohammed Bin Rashid College of Government Administration, in the presence of Brig. Jamal Bin Aadid, assistant director general for resources and support services and Brig.Rashid Khalifa Albufalsa, assistant director general for smart services.
Almatrooshi praised the spirit of perseverance of Lt. Col. Alrahoumi, emphasized that Dubai Civil Defense reserve no efforts to encourage and support its cadres to pursue their academic studies and acquiring skills and experiences to further improve their performance in delivering the best services, also hailed the field of specialty Alrahoumi has chosen.
Higher studies program in executive administration was designed particularly to enhance the skills and knowledge of the students about effective government applications and policies program set to face professional challenges, he concluded.
Brig. Rashid BuFalasa Reviews With DHA Heart Resuscitation Initiative
Dubai Civil Defense assistant director general for Smart Services Brig. Rashid Khalifa Bufalasa has reviewed , in the presence of Captain Ali Mohammed Bufalasa deputy director of fire stations department , with Dr. Mohammed Abdulqadir AL Reda ,director of Information and Smart Health department at Dubai Health Authority DHA, and Mr. Sultan Ali ALShibani, senior specialist project management office , “Heart Resuscitation” initiative , according to the directives of H. H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid ALMaktoum vice president, prime minister and ruler of Dubai “May Allah preserves him” in connection to initiative circulation to include training all community members on how to deal with heart stroke patient. Dubai Health Authority is assigned to coordinate with other government entities to crystalize the initiative, and nominate candidates from across these entities to receive heart resuscitation required training.
Gen. Almatrooshi Chairs School Buses Safety Measures Meeting
Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Almatrooshi, director general of Dubai Civil Defense has chaired a meeting, includes representatives from Emirates Transport, RTA and GEMS Schools respectively, convened meeting aimed to review safety measures placed in school transportation buses allocated for different age groups, and to follow the directives issued by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid ALmaktoum, Vice president, prime minister and ruler of Dubai, “May Allah preserves him” pertaining schools buses drivers training on how to handle fire incidents, evacuation procedures during incident time and usage of emergency doors, guidance and awareness programs during emergency situations.
Meeting was held in the presence of Brig. Jamal Bin Aadid, assistant director general for resources and support services, Brig. Rashid Khalifa assistant director general for smart services, Lt. Col. expert Jumaa Mohammed Mubarak, director of Emirates Academy for Civil Defense, Mr. Ahmed Saleh director of Lease and Transportation operations at Emirates Transportation, and Mr. Simon Andrews HR director at GEMS Schools.
Gen. ALMatrooshi honors Excellence Award 2019 Evaluation Teams
Excellency Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Almatrooshi, director general of Dubai Civil Defense, has honored evaluation committees team members of Director General Excellence Award 2019, in recognition of their sincere efforts and dedication to perform the task assigned to them relevant to the award. Honoring ceremony was attended by Brig. Jamal Bin Aadid, assistant director for resources and support services and Lady Afaf Jassim Almuheiri director of strategy and future department and secretary general of the award.

DCD GHQ Comes in 3th Place in Police Swimming Championship
Marine fire and rescue department's swimming team at Dubai Civil Defense GHQ won the third place, countrywide, in the Police Swimming Championship, in its eighth edition, held in Abu Dhabi at New York University Swimming pool, where different formations from Ministry of Interior have participated in the same Championship.
DCD'S team has been awarded 3 gold medals, 2 silver ones and bronze medal also which enables the team to be placed in the 3th rank among other participating teams.
Major Khalfan Bin Dismal praised the efforts of teammates and their endurance ability till last moments which was topped by winning. He also emphasized the excellent presence of marine fire and rescue elements during the 8th of the competition and their contribution in achieving such wonderful result.
Gen. Al Matrooshi attends GM Excellence Award 2019 Candidates Assessment Sessions
Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Rashid AL Matrooshi, director general of Dubai Civil Defense has attend the sessions for the assessment of candidates participating in the Director General Excellence Award 2019, in its second edition held today’s morning. Candidates involved were Lt. Col. Expert Hussain Mohammed Alrahoomi , Lt. Col. Expert Jumaa Mohammed Mubarak and 2nd Lt. Jumaa Saeed Al Mansoory of Exceptional leader category, and 1st Khalifa Adil AlMheiri of Golden Firefighter category.
In their march towards the final stage of the Award, different qualified candidates for the second stage face tough competitions and challenges during assessment sessions, each rely on his documented bright working experiences and qualifications helped to escalate him to this stage.
Assessment sessions were attended also by Col. Expert Ali Hassan Almutawaa, assistant director general for fire and rescue affairs and Lady Afaf Jassim, director of Strategy and Future department.
Worth to mention is that external assessment teams have focused on number of standards encompass institutional excellence, self-development, culture, creation and initiatives.

Dubai Civil Defense Director General Maj. gen. expert Rashid Thani Almatrooshi has reviewed the assessment reports prepared by assessment team, DCD'S Director General Excellence Award 2019,second stage. He also received a detailed report on standards adopted in qualified candidate’s assessment operations to win the award prize, in its first edition.

DCD, ETISALAT Discuss Joint Cooperation Means
Dubai Civil Defense and ETISALAT Company held joint meeting to enhance mutual cooperation and coordination, entrenching positive partnership stemming from their believe in the importance of cooperation between them, to achieve the strategic goals of services delivered to society.
Number of important issues were addressed during the meeting, significant ones include governance of billing, discussing data lines and telephones.
DCD was represented in the meeting by Lt. Col Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Ali, deputy director of Communications systems department, Major Dr. Abdulrahman Albaloushi, acting director of financial department, Lt. Mohammed Abdullah Bin Hafiz, head of accountancy section and Eng. Ahmed Janahi head Networks Section. And from ETISALAT were Eng. Ali Alrashid, executive director of strategic projects and Miss Eiman Mannaei senior Sales director at Hasntuk scheme.
Col. Almutawaa Visits Capt. Fahad Bishri to be assured on his Health
Col. expert Ali Hassan Almutawaa, assistant director general for fire and rescue affairs has visited Captain Fahad Albishri, deputy director of Ittahad fire station , who has done a surgical operation at Rashid hospital, to be assured about his health condition. Col. Ali wished him soon recovery asking Almighty Allah to shower him with health and wellness.

Brig. Jamal Honors Maryam Mubarak following 24 Years of Best Services in DCD
Acting director general of Dubai Civil Defense Brig. Jamal Bin Aadid Almuheiri has honored Lady Maryam Mubarak, who served Dubai Civil Defense for 24 years, in recognition of her sincere dedication showed during her working years with the department. Honoring ceremony was held in the presence of Director of Human Resources department, and Capt. Mohammed Abdulrahman Ahali, deputy director of Human resources department.
Almeheriri praised the excellent performance of honored employee and showed dedication witnessed in the different departments she used to work in, including IT department, Local training section, Federal training Section, Salary and Payroll etc. emphasized She was a good example of distinguished employee, who occupies significant place amongst colleagues, wishing her all the best in her future life.
Col. Ali receives Denmark Consulate Commercial Advisor
Col. expert Ali Hassan Almutawaa, assistant director general for fire and rescue affairs, has received at his office Hanane ElGhiouane, Commercial Advisor at Royal Danish Consulate General in Dubai, and Mr. Martyan Gillespie, Regional Manager of Blücher for buildings insulation materials, in the presence of Captain Khalid Altinaiji, acting director of preventive Safety department and Captain Mohammed Saif Bufaroosha, deputy director of Polices and Decisions Support, convened visit comes in line with mutual cooperation and enhancing ties between Dubai Civil Defense and Danish mission in UAE.
Commercial Advisor and Rockwool regional director reviewed during the visit DCD'S best practices implemented in the field of fire incidents and command, and its applied strategy and methodology. Both parties have discussed also ways of mutual cooperation, and reviewed latest fire Safety systems technology.
Col. Almutawa Honors "Your Diet Shapes Your health" Initiative Participants
Col. expert Ali Hassan Almutawaa, assistant director general for fire and rescue affairs has honored the participants of "Your diet shapes Your health" initiative, namely Abella & Partners Company, Del Monte and Dr. Nutrition, which was organized by Dubai Civil Defense at fire stations, and targeting the firefighters and other centers employees, in the presence of Lady Zainah Hashim Alhadidi, Head of Public health Section.
Almutawaa praised the role these companies play in promoting the importance of dietary health and its correct habits, and spreading it as a culture that reflects the civilization of nations and communities, confirming Dubai Civil Defense dedication to organize such events and workshops which raise employee’s diet awareness.
He also hailed the positive cooperation created between DCD and other public and private entities in a way that ensures best services and development are achieved and enhanced.
