After Defeating Traffic and Patrols Department Ajman Police 3/1
Dubai Civil Defence football squad has defeated the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police HQ 3/1 in the match played yesterday as a part Civil Defence Commander in chief Ramadan Championship Cup, held at Ajman Civil Defence ground.
DCD's team demonstrated good performance and played with high fighting spirit through out the match time. Goals were scored by Omaran Ahali,Adnan Hassan and Mohamed Ibrahim respectively, tean has raised his points to 6 valuable points to be resided at the pinckle of group 1
On behalf of Maj. Gen Expert Rashid Almatrooshi, director general of Dubai Civil Defence, Brig.Jamal Bin Aadid Almuheirie, assistant director for resources and support services and Excellency Dherar Belhoul Alfalasi, executive director of Watani Al Emarat Foundation, have signed an agreement for joint cooperation to enhance national Identification and to exchange expertise between the two entities, in the presence of Brig. Rashid Alfalasi, assistant director for smart services.
As a Part of the Ramadan Tolerance championship 2019, organized by Dubai Civil Defense QH, Monitoring and Inspection Department and Quasis fire centre football teams match result was 5/5, both teams lie under the second group, each team secured one valuable point. The second match played by DU and Emirates Academy of Civil Defense teams, belonging to same group, where DU football squad has defeated Emirates Academy team 9/0 to reside in the picked of the group by 3 valuable points.
Championship matches will be suspended during weekend, to resume on next Saturday, where two different matches will take place, including teams from the first group, Dubai Parks VS Port Saeed, HR VS Rashydia fire centre.
Dubai Civil Denfence Director General, Maj.Gen.Expert Rashid Thani AlMatrooshi has attended Iftar Banquet organised by AlMazher fire station. Iftar banquet was attended by Brig.Jamal Bin Aadid, assistant director general for resources and support services, Brig.Rashid Khalifa ALfalasi, assistant director general for smart services, Col.Expert Ali Hassan Almutawa, assistant director general for fire and rescue affairs, Lt.Col.Expert Hussain Mohammed Alrahoumi, director of fire stations department, and Lt.Col.Mattran Khalil Almazin director of Almazher fire centre.
The initiative comes under the social understanding program and Ramadan mass Iftar banquet organizes every year to mark the advent of Ramadan at the Hg and fire centres, to instill the values of fraternity and love.
Almatrooshi confirmed Dubai Civil Defence keenness to organise such Social events to foster the communication between all employees regardless their functional positions, and also to enhance ties during the blessing month of the holy Ramadan, he emphasized that get- together meetings during Ramadan will have positive impact on working environment
The 3th Civil Defense Commander in chief Ramadan Championship kick off was inaugurated by Brig. Abdullaziz Alshamsi, director general of Ajman Civil Defense, held at Ajman Civil Defense Ground play ground.
Tournament first inaugural match played by Dubai Civil Defense football team VS Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Academy football team, DCD'S football, which was striving to sustain its title won last year, has shown good performance at inaugural match battleground, and managed to score 5 goals, 2goals out of the first 3 goals were achieved in first half-time were made by Adnan Hussain, and third goal scored by Mohammed Ibrahim. Player Mohammed Ali scored the 4, while fifth goal was scared by Abdullah Eisa. Rival team fail to score any goal.
With achieved result, DCD'S football got 3 points in its balance, while its competitor has nill.
Under the Patronage of Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Rashid AlMatrooshi Director General of Dubai Civil Defense, and in the presence of Lt. Col. Expert Hussain Mohammed Alrahoumi, Director of Fire Stations Department, the first batch of the Firefighter in Our House training course was pass-out. The course which targets community safety sustainability was held at AL Mizher fire station.
About the initiative goals and its implementation mechanism, Lt. Col Alrahoumi says:
The initiative aims to turn the fire stations into community safety training hubs, beside their main basic roles in fighting fires, protection and awareness, following a number of awareness campaigns performed by Civil Defense in recent years, at both regional and federal levels. Now fire stations are widely open to different interested candidates to join training courses held each in his specialty area.
Lt. Col. Expert Hussain continue to say, candidate can register to attend the course hosted by the neatest fire station to his house. Courses include theoretical and practical lectures on home hazards, ways to avoid and handle, and evacuations skills during emergency situations, skills to save children, elderly and people of determination. Beside, learning about types of fire extinguishers and fire blankets usage methods.
As the Holy Month of Ramadan is getting closer, special training sessions are set to be held at main Civil Defense fire centers at highly populated areas, for house maids, to be trained in fire risks during Ramadan, and how to report any fire immediately to Civil Defense. He added.

This initiative comes under the strategy to improve Civil Defense services match with UAE vision 2021,to make UAE one of the best countries in achieving safety and security in the world by 2021, through the delivery of innovative and excellent government services, concentrating on customers, and effective and efficient incidents response ,that assure community happiness.
Alrahoumi urges all interested candidates from across the community sectors to join these training courses, as safety for all can only be achieved if all are involved.
Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid AlMatrooshi , Director General of Dubai Civil Defense and Brig. Rashid Khalifa AlFalasi, assistant director for Smart Services have participated in the debate session set to discuss the city's builders platform initiatives, held in the presence of a number of directors general and administrative leaders of Dubai various government entities. City's Builders initiative aims at executing a package of initiatives intend to improve joint government services, in accordance to services innovative design methodology, which embodies the directives of H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid ALMaktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, Chairman of the Executive Council, aiming at improving the government delivered services to reach to new pioneering levels, and to improve government joint services by 100% by EXPO 2020.
Dubai Civil Defense has participated in the event through its three delivered studies, including safeguarding joint events, Civil Defense sector business and Commercial transportation.
The delegation of Institute of Physical Safety Holland Students currently visiting Dubai Civil Defence, has conducted a tour visit to Martyr's Fire Station, accompanied by Lt.Col Expert Hussain Mohammed Alrahoumi, Director of Fire Stations Department and were received by Lt.Col.Expert Ahmed Bin Kamidesh, Fire station Director and his deputy Capt. Sultan Bin Haddeh. Convened visit aims to review the best practices and witnessed in different fire stations across Dubai. And during their visit, the students have reviewed latest equipments and apparatus available in the station,and the best applied practices in the field of specialty, as well as they also learned about successful experiences and expertise.
The visit is a prerequisite step for the students to pass the course, as they are required to choose any country to visit and review its best practices in the strategic procedures in specialty area, and to analyse and use it as benchmark

The event was attended also by Gen.Dr. Ahmed Eid AlMansoory, Director of General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology, Excellency Khalifa Bin Drai ,Director General of Dubai Corporation of Ambulance Services, Brig. UAE fire safety fourm is an international platform held annually in the emirate of Dubai, where international renowned fire experts showcase the best practices and experiences witnessed by fire safety field, raising innovative solutions and ideas deemed necessary to sustain development required to achieve fire safety equipments and apparatus goals. Four working papers were presented during the forum, including more solutions in fire and safety line. Paper one was delivered by Dr. Sebastian UKleja ,head of section of fire Testing ESL, titled “Emirates Safety Laboratory ”, second paper was titled “ The Grenfell Tower Investigation” delivered by Paul Walker ,Chief Fire Officer and Director Resilience Cornwall, President of National Chiefs Fire Council, while third paper delivered by Eng. Hao Giang Tay, Vice President Institution of Fire Engineering Malaysia Branch was titled “The Forward After Grenfell Tower Disaster”, fourth paper was delivered by Eng. Majad Fahad Almarri, MIFire,Fireand Exp.Engineer, CFPS (NFPA) Fire Protection Association, Saudi Arabia Oil Company, titled “ International Fire Safety Standards And Certifications And Their Applications To Oil And Gas Companies In The Arabian Gulf Region: A Brief Illustration. Eng. Fahad highly praised the rapid development seen in Dubai Civil Defence and the timeless support from H.H.Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid ALMaktoum ,Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai(May Allah Preserves him” . John Runkle ASTM Expert & Vice President – Building Sciences, Architectural Testing Inc & Intertek delivered a paper on “ External Cladding” at the end if the forum.
Brig. Rashid has managed the interactive debate platform, encompass a number of experts and visitors participated , to discuss challenges and ways to make them incentives drive to exchange ideas, finding answers for doubts raised by strategic partners and attendees.

Maj. Gen. Both parties discussed the joint cooperation opportunities and reviewed the services which are delivered by the association,Internal auditing standards and international standards, beside reviewing governance occupational and competitiveness standards of internal implementation.
