Brig. Jamal Bin Aadid Almuheiri, assistant director for Fire and Rescue Resources and Support Services has chaired today at his office the routine meeting of Incentive remunerations and rewards, held in the presence of Lady Amnah Yahya Yusuf, Director of Human Resources Department, Capt. Ali Mohammed AlFalasi, Deputy director of Fire Stations Department and 1st.Lt Abubaker Habib Bhakhit, Head of legal affairs section. Convened meeting purpose was to review applications submitted to the said committee, in line with Dubai Civil Defense efforts for preparation of work environment, and encouraging employees based on their performance levels and to ensure happiness sustainability.
Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid AlMatrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defense has launched Institutional Maturity Plan 2019,themed "Effective and Efficient Professional Institutional Capabilities ", circulated by Department of Strategy and Polices, in order to Update DCD'S Strategy" 2017-2021" implementing Administrate and corporate performance system, reshaping the future Plan, Operations and Procedures reengineering scheme, as well as pioneering institutional Governance Program, Dubai Paperless Transactions Strategy Project, merging strategic goals to foster efficiency and effectiveness, and adopting the strategic projects of all departments and finally to determine strategic indicators.
Maj.Gen.Expert Rashid AlMatrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defence, Chairman of Fire and Rescue Development Council, has chaired the Council meeting, in the presence of Col.Expert Ali Hassan Almutawa, assistant director for Fire and Rescue affairs, deputy Council Chairman and the members of the Council including Lt.Col.Expert Ahmed Kamidesh, Lt.Col.Expert Ibrahim Saif AlSaleh, Lt.Col.Expert Rashid Hussein Alsumatie, Lt.Col Mattran Khalil Almazin and 1st.Lt Hamad Thani, Head of Sport section at Training and Performance Development Department. The Smart training program prepared by Sport section for firemen was reviewed and discussed to become a recognised reference for training exercises performed by Firefighters.
Following the adoption of Ghaf tree as an official motto of Year of Tolerance by the wise leadership, Dubai Civil Defense has witnessed a wide initiative to plant Ghaf national tree. Such initiative, comes as a part of Dubai Civil Defense Youth Council Initiatives, which aims to praise wise leadership selection, as Ghaf tree is really represents a high social, cultural and environmental values to UAE nation, and is an iconic symbol for survival and existence in the desert. The first Ghaf tree to be planted was planted by H.E. Maj. Gen Jassim Mohammed AlMarzouqi, Civil Defense Commander in chief, who has received 70trees from 1st Lt Abdullah Bin Touq, head of Trainees Affairs Section at Dubai Civil Defense for the same purpose. Ghaf tree plantation drive in Dubai was launched today by Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid AlMatrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defense, who has planted the first tree at Dubai Civil Defense HQ, in the presence of Brig. Rashid AlFalasi, assistant director for Smart Services and members of the Youth Council, then other fire stations directors and their deputies began planting the tree in Dubai Parks, Barasha, DIP, Rashydia, Hamryiah, Mazher, Lissaili and Nad Alhamar stations respectively, to enhance the initiative raised.
DCD'S Director: Aiming to Make Employees Happy to Achieve Excellence Sustainability In line with Emirates 2021 Vision
Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid AlMatrooshi Director General of Dubai Civil Defense has unveiled today " Director General Excellence Award ", which comes in line with a complete system aiming at providing employees with highest level of happiness, through honoring and encouraging excellent human cadres, instilling the culture of creativity, establishing innovative based environment, that raises the allegiance level towards General headquarters and enhancing their community responsibility. Excellence Award was unleashed in the presence of Lady Afaf Jassim Almuheiri, director Strategy and Polices department and Miss Sharifah Mohammed Almazimi, head of Excellence and Competitiveness section.
Announced Award focusses on achieving the main objectives, including issuing of approved guide regulating the individuals and teams participation in a transparent, faire and Competitiveness environment, spreading the concepts of excellence and innovation, circulating best administrative and professional practices and ensuring most effective and efficient work methods are implemented in government sector. Encouraging DCD'S employees regardless of their grades to be innovative, creative, committed, self-motivated, and to improve own performance, better customers services rendering, improving internal organizational units operations, and preparing DCD'S projects and employees for competing in external awards as per international competiveness standards were among other points which Director General Award emphasized on.
AlMatrooshi confirmed that, the Award also aims to stimulate and encourage all workers to take part in positive competitiveness, have teamwork spirit, shoulder the responsibility and achieve innovation and creativity to reach excellence sustainability level, to keep abreast with EMIRATES 2021 Vision, to make UAE one of the best countries in the world in achieving safety and security.
From her side, Mrs. Jassim indicated that launching of this Award comes as a part of Dubai Civil Defense ongoing efforts to realize employee’s happiness. Award was unleashed as per Dubai Government Excellence Program - Fourth Generation System Program, and is subjected to its main and sub- organizational criterion, and it includes institutional excellence categories, administrate categories, innovative initiative, best teamwork, best invention category, best firefighting experience, best exceptional leader, as well as it also includes all other functional categories, She added.

Issues discussed include, reviewing Civil Defense drawings to safeguard EXPO 2020,assuring the importance of complete readiness and preparation, and utilization of all capabilities and expertise to secure projects, close follow up of safety measures in EXPO different stages, besides discussing 24x7 monitoring system implementation special updates in smart buildings, and finally the approval of special training courses, for raising Firefighters skills and competencies, by Civil Defense Training Institute in Alaweer.
In the presence and patronage of Maj.Gen.Expert Rashid AlMatrooshi, UAE Civil Defense Acting Commander in chief, Director General of Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Civil Defence has celebrated the Civil Defense International Day, under the slogan " Our Children Safety is Our Responsibility, " at Intercontinental hotel Dubai Festival City, aiming at creating an environment that suits Children present and future time. Celebrations event was attended by Mr.Marawan AlShehi, Excective Director of Commitment and Responsibilities Control at KHDA, Mr.Abdullah Ginhai, Head of Government Schools Guidance and Control Unit, Brig.Jamal Bin Aadid Almuheri, assistant director for Resources and Support Services, Brig.Rashid AlFalasi, assistant director for Smart Services, Departments Directors and other DCD'S Officers.
AlMatrooshi welcomed the audience and has confirmed that our slogan selected to celebrate the prominent event this year comes to express our deepest concern towards our children, the source of our today joy and the makers of our future. Event includes a number of progress, DCD'S friends from Ahmadia Boys School and Awair Girls school have demonstrated songs and plays shows,highly admired by the audiences for its rich contents that include tips on how to deal with fire incidents, community awareness messages showcased how time is importance to fire and rescue men to perform their duties at times of fires and emergency.
Celebrations also witnessed the announcement of safety challenge champions contest, which is targeting according to Lt. Sultan Majid to children aged ranging between 8 -12 years old, to contribute in finding innovative solutions through usage of artificial intelligence and smart applications. This contest is an initiative shared by Government Communication Department and Civil Defense Youth Council, next Thursday is the last day to recive applications to participate in the contest.
AlMatrooshi honoured schools most committed to adhere safety stipulations, including Jumeriah English Speaking school, Cambridge International School and Islamic School for Education and Learning.He also honored the younest team participated in the Hackthon 2019, from Deyar PVT school in Fujairh, for inventing the smart stick for People Of Determination,youngest team includes Sheikha Yusuf kabie, Maryiam Yusuf kabie, zabia Yusuf kabie and Saeed Yusuf kabie,besides other schools participated in City builders Challenge, as apart of the ideas drive to improve emergency response servic, including following schools: Creation Model school and Gulf National School.
At the of celebrations ceremony audience reviewed the ideas and projects raised at the event platform and serious debate was held with the students about projects development and usage of accelerators and artificial intelligence to have a wider scope in future projects.

Jamal Bin Aadid Almuheiri, assistant director for Resources and Support Services. Lt Almuheiri was honored for being ranked in the first place on Abu Dhabi Grand Championship for Kanaad fishing , organized by Abu Dhabi International Club for Marine Sports, at the capital Abu Dhabi.
Director General of Dubai Civil Defense, Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Rashid AlMatrooshi Director General has received students from Higher Colleges of Technology For Women, in the presence of Lady Afaf Jassim Almuheiri, Director of Strategy and Polices .ALMatrooshi listened to illustrative explanation of the project proposal named "Smart Cities" presented by the visiting college students. Proposed project embodies digital city, in which services are based on I.T and Communication infrastructure, such as automatically managed smart traffic systems, security advanced management systems, buildings management systems and applying automatic operating system in homes and offices.
Gen. Expert AlMatrooshi highly praised the project idea, stressing that Dubai Government trend now is towards smart city, because it ensures citizens quality life improvement. Adding, Dubai has all the basic aspects required to become smart city, and now stays top in the smart services indicators worldwide. He encouraged students to further continue their efforts, assuring them of his full support and Dubai Civil Defense readiness to provide them with unlimited support in the field of specialty.
Brig.Rashid Khalifa AlFalasi, assistant director for Smart Services, chaired a meeting held with Honeywell Company representative,in the presence of Lt.Col.Expert Abdullrahman Abdulnoor BAlshalat, Director of Smart Systems Department and other concerned in the department, to review the latest technologies, and explore ways to utilise these technologies in the developing process of existing systems, ability to add such technologies to 24x7 system was discussed as well, in order to positively improve its performance effectiveness
Dubai Civil Defence has organised a workshop themed "Together We Read " which comes in line with the Month of Reading 2019 initiatives, and within institutional cooperation between departments of Government Communication and Training and Performance, at Union Museum, and delivered by UAE prominent writer and reascher Aisha Sultan Ibrahim.
Writer Aisha emphasized during the session on the importance of reading and its impact on humans, such as ideas generation, diversification of information sources and writing continuity. She demonstrated a number of books that she was inspired by and have changed her life and career as a professional writer. She added, reading is a project in which human can invest his information, mind and relations with other, where he must show passion for reading since it reflects future prospects.
The workshop includes also site tour in side the museum, where Civil Defence employees participating have learned about UAE rich heritage, existed before the founding fathers have singed the Union agreements to unite the seven emirstes, and the UAE interactive map.
At the end of the workshop, Writer and researcher Aisha was honored by Dubai Civil Defence in recognition of her valued efforts exerted in enriching the information and her profound vision to spread the importance of reading role in forming human thought and behaviour as essential pillars of civilization development industry
Maj.Gen.Expert Rashid AlMatrooshi Director General of Dubai Civil Defense has reviewed Dubai Civil Defense plan set to Secure Dubai World Cup,to be held on March 30,2019, at Meydan race course, in the presence of Lt.Col.Expert Hussain Mohammed Alrahoumi, Director of Fire Stations Department and Lt.Col. Expert Rashid Hussein Alsumatie, Director of Quoz fire station.
AlMatrooshi confirmed that an integrated security plan was prepared to ensure the success of the event, well equipped and highly skilled squads are kept alerted and standby for event security purposes, which work in full coordination with other stakeholders so event is seamlessly protected.
Maj.Gen.Expert Rashid AlMatrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defence has conducted site tour inspection visit to Jumeriah Fire Point Project. The visit comes as a part of Dubai Civil Defence infrastructure development plans.Almatrooshi was accompanied by Col.Expert Ali Hassan Almutawa, assistant director for Fire and Rescue affairs, Capt. Fahad Bukhashum, Eng. Abdullah Ahmed from Department of Services and Supplies,NAKHEL Development Company representatives and Consultant Office representatives.
During his visit, AlMatrooshi has reviewed work phases already achieved and checked working processing level to ensure project delivery will be within specified time agreed, and to ensure building preparation will be as per standards applied before operational stage is started. He added, Jumeriah Fire Point will be a real value added to fire and rescue sector, being speclized backup and Support centre, that complies with Dubai Government directives and DCD'S strategy for developing the infrastructure.
