Joint Exercive Movenpick

In the presence of Major General Jassem Mohammed Al Marzouqi, General Commander of the Civil Defence, Colonel Expert Ali Hassan Al Mutawa, Acting Director General of Dubai Civil Defence and the Higher Committee of Exercises Evaluation headed by Col. Tarek Sharif, General Directorate of Dubai Civil Defence carried out a joint exercise at the (Movenpick hotel Ibn Battuta gate – Dubai). The exercise aimed at measuring the readiness of the participating teams and their response time in case of fire.
Beside Dubai Civil Defence.. NCEMA, Dubai Police, Dubai Ambulance, RTA, DEWA, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Municipality and Emirates Red Crescent participated in the exercise.
The exercise has reflected a high level of readiness, response, implementation and results.

Esaad Card

Dubai Civil Defence Director General Maj. Gen.Expert Rashid Thani AlMatrooshi has received from Brig.Jamal Bin Aadid Almuhaire,assist director general for Resources and Supportive Services the first Esaad Card ,one of co-operation initiatives between DCD (HR Department) &Dubai Police HQ.Esaad Card aims to realize Dubai Civil Defence employees happiness,and comes under Government of Dubai efforts to achieve workers at all governmental bodies happiness.Esaad card  program offers exclusive promotions to its members ranging between 20- 50% discount rate in many service providers organizations including health care centres,educational institutions,restaurants,Shopping mall,cars services centres,travel agencies and hotels.happiness card Esaad was delivered in the presence of Lt.Col Mattran Khalil HR department director.Esaad  Card will be distributed to all DCD Staff to improve the quality of  their life.

Jordan Civil Defence DelegationOn behalf of Major General Expert Rashid Thani AlMatrooshi,Director General of Dubai Civil Defence, Brig.Rashid Khalifa AlBuflasa,Assistant Director General for Fire and Rescue Affairs and Col.Epert Ali Hassan Almutawa,Assistant Director  General for Smart Services have received a high ranking delegation from Jordan Civil Defence,headed by It.Col.Engineer Ayman Abdullah AlMaani,Director of Panning and Organization Department  and Studies,Researches and Development Department, visist aims to review the best practices implemented by Dubai Civil Defence. Brig.Rashid has briefied the visiting delegation on DCD main tasks,it's strategic plan set to achieve safety in the present and reshaping the future as well.Col.Expert Ali, also illustrated in detail the nature of 24×7 Smart buildings monitoring system,and its remarkable  results seen in reducing size and number of fire incidents that threatening safety at buildings. Followed by full demonstration about electronic central operations room special  operating procedures delivered by Li.Col.Expert Feras Belhassa,Director of Central Operations room. Lt.Col.Expert AbdullRahman Balshalat, Director of Communications Department, has also briefed the delegation on the latest Communications technologies implemented at DVD.

During its field tour at Preventive Safety Department the delegation listened to a short brief delivered by Captain Khalid Altunaji,deputy department director on department's tasks and its developmental role to enhance safety across emirate of Dubai.

H.H.Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid ALMaktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, penned a heartfelt letter, on the New yeareve, offering his thanks to H.H.Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed ALNahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

In the letter shared on his twitter account on social media Sheikh Mohammed said:

(Brothers and Sisters… As we do every year, we issued instructions not to allocate celebratory events on the Accession Day Anniversary that falls on January 4, we usually launch a campaign to offer thanks to those who have impacted our lives and serve the nation, Today we urge our nation to thank Mohammed Bin Zayed who devoted his life to raising the stature of the nation and ensuring the happiness of the citizen.)

The unified and dedicated vision of our wise leadership,  embraced by our nation,  the highly inspired and ambitious aims, using development challenges as incentive to improve government performance, improving global competitiveness results, teamwork efficiency, dedication and limitless innovations, enhancing tolerance in our multicultural society, considering “ People Happiness” as ultimate goal of all short-term and strategic projects ,   administrative pattern and a life style  among other civilizational factors led to rank our country and nation with world advanced nations.

DCD Preparation Teams Performance
The dawn  of 2018 is a chance for us to reconfirm the statement of H.H.Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid ALMaktoum, Vice President and UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai , (may Allah bless and protect him), wrote on the occasion of New Year Eve:


( We are very optimistic about the New Year… about a new journey fill of work and dedication..  about a spirit that takes us to new peaks of success and achievement).


The success that achieved by New Year celebration events security teams, including Civil Defence teams, attributes  to a number of integrated and interrelated factors, among which are:


1-Pre-planning by Civil Defence team, which has set the effective proactive plan that ensures safety and security of all events venues, by providing skilled human force, standby apparatus, and rapid responders.
2-Strong cooperation and integration between government entities protecting the events and EMMAR,Dubai Government media office and other partners has created a safest and tense less environment for guests despite their massive number, cultural and attitude differences.
3-Proffesional implementation of security plan by DCD”s teams, including the conduct of  many drills and inspection tasks at the venues ahead to the event, wide spread of inspection teams in events hosting venues and adjacent premises,  to ensure no potential risks that could threaten public and individual safety in celebrating venues.
4- Individual initiatives of firemen and other stakeholders in event’s venue to facilitate and secure a crowd of one and half million gathered to mark New Year eve around Burj Khalifa.
 5-  Unique and sophisticated cooperation  expressed by the Public to the organizers and security teams of celebration venues.
 6- Creative cooperation between Media coverage teams and security teams reflected in spreading of preventive awareness before and during events.
 
  All above factors in addition to others  created an integrated system of positive factors that made event security plan a successful one. The World was highly enthralled by New Year Eve stunning LAZER show.

Expert Rashid Thani ALMatrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defence as an strategic partner. Honoring ceremony took place during the ceremony held by MoFAIC Dubai office to mark UAE 46 National Day.

DCD Celebrates UAE 46 National Day

Under the  patronage of Maj.Gen.Expert Rashid Thani Rashid ALMatrooshi, Director of Dubai Civil and in the presence of His Excellency the Consular General of the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia to Dubai, Department of Dubai Civil Defence has celebrated the event of UAE 46 National Day at its headquarters . In his welcoming  speech delivered on the occasion, General ALMatrooshi congratulated DCD’s  Local and expats workers, praising the developments, security, prosperity and happiness  achieved in all respects under the prudent leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed AL Nahyan, May Allah Preserved Him. Event program displayed included two different items, one performed by  Dubai  National School themed “Spirit of the Union” and the other was performed  by Dubai Center for People of Determination, in which UAE boys and girls have expressed their proudness and gratitude toward the achievements of their beloved country. Participating and supporting companies were honored by Maj.Gen.Expert ALMatrooshi  at the end of  celebration ceremony.

Maj.Gen.Expert Rashid Thani ALMatrooshi,Director General of Dubai Civil Defence received at his office a top official delegation from Abu Dhabi Civil Defence department headed by its Director  General Brig. Mohammed Maauof ALKatubi.  Official delegation visit aims to review best practices applied DCD in the fire suppression and incidents management.  Visiting delegation was escorted by General ALMatrooshi in a field tour to Central Operations Room and technical workshop. From his side , General ALMatrooshi stressed on the importance of  exchange of knowledge and expertise to keep abreast with the developments seen in our field and the possible ways to utilize them in improving performance and skills.
