Chairman of the Dubai Council for Border Crossing Points Security, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, inaugurated the activities of the 25th edition of the Intersec Exhibition. This event stands as the largest in the history of the premier global exhibition dedicated to safety, security, and fire protection services. Hosted in Dubai from January 16 to 18, 2024, the exhibition carries the theme "Innovating Security Tech for a Quarter Century.”

His Highness explored the main platform of the General Directorate of Dubai Civil Defense and the Emirates Safety Laboratory, which is affiliated with the Civil Defence. His Excellency Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, the General Director of Dubai Civil Defence Directorate, warmly welcomed him. During the visit, His Highness was briefed on the directorate's involvement in Intersec, where the latest technologies and advancements in artificial intelligence were showcased to enhance institutionalized work.

Further, His Highness received a comprehensive explanation from His Excellency Major General Expert Ali Hassan Al Mutawa, the Assistant Director-General of Dubai Civil Defence for Fire and Rescue Affairs, about the Emirates Safety Laboratory (ESL). It is recognized as the first government laboratory of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, specializing in fire and safety testing procedures, as well as evaluating and certifying equipment and building systems.
