Sector main task is setting and implementing Civil Defence measures aiming to protect civilian, applying latest preventive and precautionary methods permitting risks management and awareness dissemination across society segments, assuring  that civilians safety is protected, properties and national wealth are preserved during normal and emergency times, including follow up the implementation of safety measures in residential, commercial and industrial buildings, as well as developing the same as per efficiency  and effective standards included in Emirates fire and safety Code of practice. Also, make sure public/ private companies special licensing and renewal regulations is implemented as well.

The sector also undertakes to execute field and digital plans and programs to enhance preventive awareness and help to spreading safety behaviour amongst community sectors about fire risks and ways of protection.
