The General Directorate of Dubai Civil Defense, the Government Communication Department "Community Service Department", organized an event entitled "The Little Fireman", within the activities of the Dubai Shopping Festival at "Last Exit Al Khawaneej", which will continue until January 21st, 2021.
The event included many educational and entertainment paragraphs, with which young firefighters interacted enthusiastically in competitions by answering questions related to prevention and safety to win prizes and gifts.
The youngsters had been taught about the nature of the work of firefighters and rescuers, the seriousness of their field tasks that they carry out, and the contents of the noble goals for which they sacrifice to protect lives and properties. The event was held with interactive presentations on fire safety guidelines, and practical steps for dealing in various cases and methods of using household fire extinguishing tools.
Major Dr. Ahmed Yusef Al Shangeeti, Director of the Government Communication Department, emphasized that the participation of the DCD in Shopping Festival, comes as part of its community strategy to consolidate awareness of safety and fire prevention, as a prevailing culture and behavior among all segments of society in order to give educational and awareness programs for positive interaction with various Accident cases to ensure their safety.
He pointed out that children represent the main pillar of societies, and we attach the utmost importance to protecting them from risks in our preventive strategy and to enhance safety measures for them in schools, tourist facades, shopping centers, and various sites, through various activities such as awareness lectures, drawings, and posters that enable them to protect themselves and deal positively with discretions in emergency cases.
