His Excellency Major General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Director-General of the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Dubai, directed all sectors to focus on the sustainability of research, development and benefit from the institutional environment and the technological infrastructure in DCD, motivating the staff to innovate, being creative, building capabilities, spreading the culture of creativity and to adapt its concepts in all the fields of work.
His Excellency confirmed that DCD works to enhance the spirit of creativity, innovation and ensure its sustainability in its main and support operations, and to fulfill it,s mission to all members of society to keep pace with modern changes at the global level, by presenting creative ideas and projects that express the directions of our wise leadership towards the future, in a way that contributes to achieving Global leadership.
This came during the second workshop entitled "Future Innovations" held by DCD, Department of Strategy and the Future, in the World Trade Center conference room, in the presence of managers of departments and Fire Stations.
Mrs. Afaf Jassim Al Muhairi, Manager of Strategy and Future Department, pointed and stressed civil defense innovations according to sectors and departments, matching the requirements of the innovation standard of the Dubai Government Excellence Award.
She also explained that the workshop dealt in detail with the initiatives and innovations of the development sectors in the presence of His Excellency Major General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Director-General, whose presence constituted an important and significant addition, as he stressed the need to keep pace with the development of modern science and technology and employ them in new specialized initiatives and innovations, and to harness them in the service of community members to achieve goals and the vision of the UAE Government aimed at enhancing competitiveness at the global level, inlining with the wise leadership's directions in preparing for the next 50 years.
