Col. expert Ali Hassan Almutawaa, assistant director general for fire and rescue affairs and Col. Suliman Abdullkarim, director of Technical Affairs department were present during the ceremony of delivering the vehicles to fire and rescue centers in the presence of directors of concerned departments and fire centers.
The move comes in line with the implementation of DCD'S plans and strategies, updating its fleet and fire and rescue apparatuses, in order to maintain specialized services performance efficiency, and achieving best response standard time worldwide. A number of new early intervention vehicles were equipped with latest and advanced technology at the workshop, rest vehicles to be used in field survey missions.
Col. Almutawaa emphasized that Dubai Civil Defense follows a harmonized policy committed to increase its fleet of vehicles and specialized equipment which ensure our vision to make UAE one of the best countries in Safety and security in the world is achieved, and to maintain Dubai global position as an important economic hub and tourism destination, confirming new added fleet is a big valued added to the sector of fire and rescue, and basic support to the centers to carry out tasks in most appropriate way.
For his part, Col. Suleiman indicated that technical workshop adhered to latest special work standard measurements while equipping the new vehicles with the sophisticated equipment, adding technical workshop always work to ensure vehicles are well equipped to ensure fire fighters performance in fire suppression is enhanced.
