Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani ALmatrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defence has attended the closing ceremony of Director General Fitness Challenge Championship in its first edition 2019, organized by fire and rescue sector for fire centers and shifts leaders, at Emirates Academy for Civil Defense playgrounds.

ALQouz fire station was crowned as championship winning team, and Nadshiba fire station was placed in the second place, while Dubai Parks center ranked in the third place.

Winners of Shift leaders’ category include Lt. Buti Ahmed Bin Ghoulitah, who was placed I the first, Lt. Rashid Al Duwais ranked the second place, while Lt. Ghadeer Saeed Rashid declared as the third winner. 

Final round revealed tough competitions between the participating candidates, who showed enthusiasm to confirm their eligibility for winning. Audience reacted positively with last moments of the championship and the honoring of the winning fire centers and shift leaders by the General ALmatrooshi. 

ALMatrooshi emphasized that, championship has achieved its set goals, entails fire and rescue squads excellence, in physical fitness aspect and sport as general, and it also displayed of real heroes who can compete in local and international challenges.

He added, participants showed high sport skills and capabilities at officers and personnel levels, stressing Dubai Civil Defense implements its sport program to instill wise leadership vision which gives sport top priority, for its significant role played in Youth care and to engage energies to contribute in development sustainability. 

For his part Col. Expert Ali Hassan, assistant director general for fire and rescue has expressed his thanks to Excellency the Director General , for his limitless support to all the activities organized by fire and rescue sector, and the leading role in participating with fire and rescue men in different activities and programs, which comes in line with DCD’S HQ  Policies and directives, emphasizing that the competition has revealed  elite of excellent players with high capabilities and skilled performance to participate in such challenges.

He praised also, the efforts of organizing committee, referees and participating centers.

From his side, Lt Buti has dedicated the victory to his colleagues and leaders at AL Marsa fire station for their continued support throughout the stages of competition expressed his gladness to be one of the championship winners.

Ceremony was attended by Lt. Col. Expert Hussein ALrahoumi, Director of fire stations department, Lt. Col. (Pilot) Hamad Balsuaida, director of AL Qouz fire station, Captain Dr. Ahmed Yusuf, acting director of Government Communication department and fire stations officers.

Department of Strategy and Future has held a workshop for Human Resources department’s staff carries the title “Human Capital Criteria and Emiratization” as part of assessment session 2020, comes in accordance to Dubai Government Excellence Program.

Held workshop witnessed comprehensive review of the Requirements and Mechanism of Assessment, Major, Sub-Standards and Results, presented by Eng. Suhad ALmasari, Excellence Expert.

Sub- Standards explanation was distributed to organizational units of the Human resources department.

In addition, the important requirements of the best entity that achieved Emiratization, created recently and embodied within Dubai Government Program, was previewed also, with the aim to enhance Government efforts to upgrade local human force capabilities , which comes in line with the wise leadership vision and directives.

Dubai Civil Defenses’ Youth Council has organized a sport event for DCD’s employees, at sport ground of Emirates Academy for Civil Defense, which comes as part of Dubai Fitness challenge initiative 30x30 in its 3th edition, which will continue until 16th November. Youth Council urges employees to participate more actively through the different training.

Worth mentioning that, Dubai Fitness Challenge aims to instill sport as a life style, by offering different community sectors sufficient opportunities to participate, and be committed to practice sport activities for 30 minutes every day.

Dubai Fitness initiative was launched in 2017 by H.H. Sheikh Hamadan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid, Crown Prince of Dubai and President of Executive Council.

Participants include Lt. Sultan Bin Majid Bin Suleiman, head of Policies Section and member of Youth Council, and Lt. Saeed Abdullah Shamsi, head of Training follow up and Assessment.

Department of Strategy and Future has intensified workshops to preview operational plan 2018 – 2019, projects and development initiatives, and its role in achieving the main objectives of Dubai Civil Defense HQ, which contribute in providing best services and ensure development sustainability.

Workshop addressed main axis of smart sector operational plan, which include “Communication Systems Department’, “Information Technology” and “Smart systems department”.

 Preview includes identifying department’s roles, and how far strategic plan is implemented, different building stages during first, second and third quarters of this year, also stressing on adopting projects, development initiatives which play vital role in getting  best positive results.Operational plan review was presented by Lady Hagar Abdullah AL Falasi, strategic planning senior analyst, Eng. Suhad ALmasri, Excellence Expert beside Sergeant Ali Shaker.

Dubai Civil Defense has launched seasonal Flu vaccination campaign, at Technical affairs department, as winter season 2019 is approaching, which is organized by Public Health Section at Civil Protection Department in association with Health Medical center and Almadallah health insurance Management Company.

Organized campaign aims at protection employees against common viruses that caused by seasonal Flu, and raising awareness about the necessity of vaccination and prevention and treatment ways. 

The campaign will continue for 2 days long, and will include Nad Alshiba fire station, on Thursday and Barsha fire station on Sunday.

Campaign held in the presence of Col. Suleiman Abdullkarim AL Baoloushi, director of technical affairs department and Lady Zainah ALhadidi, head of public health section.

Six fire stations including Al Quoz, Nad Alshiba, DIP, Al Ras, Dubai parks and Karamah have been qualified for the final stage in the Dubai Civil Defense Director General Fitness Challenge Championship, first edition 2019

Within Shifts leaders’ category, a number of officers who have demonstrated tough skills and unmatchable enthusiasm throughout all stages encompass Lt. Butti Ahmed Bin Ghuleitah, Lt. Ghadeer Saeed Rashid, Lt. Nader Salem AL Amarri, 1st Lt. Adel Ahmed AL Boloushi and Lt. Ghanim were qualified. The competitions revealed the positive outcomes of training they receive, courses attended to enhance abilities, skills and physical fitness. 

Col. Expert Ali ALMutawaa, emphasized that championship in each of its different stages produces real heroes, and its competition indicator rises at stations and leaders categories level, which is believe to be positive points account to fire and rescue personnel, their dedication to be at the pinnacle of fitness is the essence point that prove ongoing readiness, and well fit with Civil Defense’s Tasks nature.

He also confirmed that DCD is dedicated to improve its squad’s fitness and efficiency through conducting different sport activities. 

Brig. Rashid Bu ALflasah, assistant director for smart services, Col. Ali Hassan ,assistant director for fire and rescue , Lt. Col. Expert Hussein ALRahoumi, director of fire stations department, Lt. Col. Expert (Pilot) Hamad Balsuwaidia, director of Al Barsha fire station and fire and rescue sector officers were also attended the event.

Director General Fitness Challenge competitions rounds continued  to take place yesterday evening, under direct supervision of Col. Expert Ali Hassan ALmatawaa, assistant director general for fire and rescue, at Emirates Academy for Civil Defense , amidst of  overwhelmed demonstrated by all participating centers, to prove competency and ability for upgrade for second phase of the championship, players showed excellent levels.

Organized competitions comes as extension for DCD various activities, which run throughout the year, and as part of its strategic plan to ensure officers and personnel fitness sustainability, which contribute in on their ongoing readiness and mental and physical preparation.

Assistant Director General of Smart Services Brig. Rashid Khalifa ALBuflasa has celebrated with his staff who are Director General Excellence Award 2019 winners, in its first edition.

Rashid praised the o winners excellence shown in different award categories, and confirmed that sector involves constellation of outstanding employees in different specialty areas.

He urged them to expand their participation in the second edition to take place next year, stressing his great confidence that they will gain more trophy.

Rashid also encouraged the award winning to continue their efforts to climb the podiums and gaining more trophies.

Brig. Rashid emphasized that, such award contributes positively to enhance the spirit of competitiveness to gain more trophies, and also will be reflected in the institution overall performance and its development sustainability, and the improvement of delivered services quality.
