The Civil Defense GHQ Commemorated under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the event of Civil Defense International Day, which falls on March 1 of every year, under the slogan “ Civil Defense in every Home”, at Culture Center auditorium in Ras Al Khaimah. 

The event was held in the presence of Excellency Maj. Gen. Dr. Jassim Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Commander in Chief of Civil Defense, Excellency Ma. Gen. Expert Rashid Thani Rashid Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defense, their excellences Directors Generals and regional Department’s Directors.

Ceremony program includes operetta branded “Civil Defense in every Home”, strategic partners were honored also during the ceremony in recognition of their exemplary efforts and contributions that made a great impact in making different activities and programs organized by Civil Defense enormous achievements. 

Al Matrooshi emphasized that enhancing the awareness about safety concepts, risks protection, and preventive measures in every home is very important in avoiding public risks.

He also indicated, awareness and prevention come first,  as they will have a positive impact in avoiding incidents, based on the fact that individual is always the first responder in-home incident,  before fire and rescue squad arrive in incident scene, resulting in loss and damage limitation.

Al Matrooshi also made a mark, involving everyone within the home is important to ensure fire safety requirements are in place, positive interaction with awareness programs, following DCD’s directives to protect lives and properties, to implement wise leadership to ensure community safety protection, in accordance with cutting - edge international standards.
