DCD Director Praises Excellent Teams for Achieving Minimum Response Time

Maj.Gen. Expert Rashid Thani praised fire response team’s preparedness and readiness in fire stations, in an statement made during his visit to Hamriyah fire station.

He Added:

“our success indicator lies on achieving the customers satisfaction, and that was practically materialized as a result of the excellent performance of fire response teams in all fire stations, including Hamriyah fire station, which makes us obliged to praise your performance, and appreciate your promptness response and thanking you for achieving excellent level of Civil Defence customers satisfaction.

Our department always dedicated to utilize and implement best practices achieved in Civil Defence different areas of specialty, including ( minimization of response time) as per international standards without ignoring local conditions, and according to a clear systematic plan based on latest communications technologies and principles of risks management. Average response time internationally targeted for first responding team is 6 – 8 minutes, in 90% of total accidents. Dubai Civil Defence has achieved average response time ( 4 minutes) in more than 30% of the accidents reported in 2015”. He added.

“ The way General public cooperates with Civil Defence plays significant role in the later performance, particularly determination of response time, right from the moment report is received, to mobility of emergency equipments,till the arrival of emergency teams to accident scene.. and that requires : the person who reports the accident to be clear and concise while delivering the information of accident type/ accident scene location and any other relevant information that help to reach the accident scene fast. Also road users should keep the right lane and make access to accident scene clear to give way for responding vehicles to reach and maneuver easily”. He indicated.
