This initiative is dedicated to protecting lives and properties, harnessing scientific and technological advancements for proactive prediction procedures, and enhancing awareness and safety measures to reduce accidents through the use of virtual officers.
One of the highlights of the event was the Eco Readiness Program, curated by the Ministry of Interior, making it a pioneering effort in the region. This program featured a world map illustrating the carbon emissions resulting from fire accidents, highlighting their impact on climate change and air quality. This initiative plays a crucial role in the United Arab Emirates' ambitious goal of reducing carbon emissions by 45% by the year 2023, as part of its broader commitment to achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mansoor bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, oversaw the signing of a cooperation agreement between the General Directorate of Dubai Civil Defense and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the largest firefighting association based in the United States of America. The Dubai Civil Defense General Directorate has concluded its participation in the "Little Firefighter" event, which was conducted from June 26 to August 27 as part of Dubai Summer 2023 activities at Modhesh World of Entertainment. The Fire & Security Association of India, the largest organization of its kind in Asia, praised the Dubai Civil Defense Readiness program during the participation of a delegation led by the Dubai Civil Defense. As part of the Ministry of Interior's goal to establish the United Arab Emirates as a global leader in security and safety, with a focus on implementing top-tier fire safety standards for safeguarding lives and property, and ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of fire prevention systems in buildings and structures, a decision has been taken. Effective from 01/01/2024, the Emirates Safety Laboratory (ESL) will be responsible for evaluating the Certificate of Conformity (COC). Additionally, it will grant Certificates of Conformity Assurance (Certification), which will be essential prerequisites for seeking product approvals from the General Directorate of Civil Defense/Dubai. This requirement covers diverse aspects including fire protection systems, firefighting equipment, façade systems and cladding materials, fire-resistant barriers, retardants, fire-resistant ceilings and roofing systems, and doors.
